Baccarat Strategy
If you play Online Baccarat remember that the player hand is always
played out first, giving the banker hand a slight edge over the player
hand. Because of this the banker hands win approximately 50.6% of the
time and player's hand approximately 49.4% of the time, when tie bets
are excluded.
Winning bets on banker or
player are paid 1:1, but a commission of 5% is charged on bank bets
making the net odds on such bets 0.95 to 1. Some casinos may charge a
lower commission.
The most important thing on baccarat is: don't make any mistake,
because you give to the house a greater edge. Baccarat is very easy to
play, because there are no difficult rules to learn or complicated
strategies to follow.
The most useful and simplest
Strategy is to stick with banker and player bets and avoid tie bets.
The Banker hand usually is a better wager:
It is generally recognized that the Banker hand has an edge over the
Player hand and that even with the 5% commission factored in, the Banker
hand is a better wager.
Avoid Tie bets:
The tie bet is considered to be for suckers only; doubtless, some
suckers have actually hit and won big. Nonetheless, your friends might
laugh at you if you make a tie bet.
To optimize your chances of winning at Baccarat you also should
select a casino which offers the most player-favorable options among the
variables of the game.
- Not all casinos use 8 decks; the fewer, the better for you as
the bettor.
- Some casinos commission on Banker bets is lower than 5%.
- Some casinos pay 9:1, rather than 8:1 for a tie

Baccarat Card Counting and Shoe Tracking:
Some players believe that by tracking "trends" in the shoe, they will
be able to place smarter bets. They speak of a "Choppy Shoe" if wins
alternate regularly between Banker and Player and of a "Streaky Shoe" if
either Banker or Player win on many successive hands.
Some players also tried to apply the “cards counting” technique
because the game dealt from a shoe with a set number of decks.
Both trend spotting and card counting in Baccarat have no scientific
relation to how the cards are going to come out of the shoe.
It has been determined that card counting is not effective in overcoming
the house edge at the baccarat tables.
Compared to blackjack, card counting is about 9 times less effective
when used against baccarat.
The odds do change if you don’t replace the removed cards. But at the
Baccarat the odds doesn't change quickly. Because of this is not easy
for an instance in your count to come up where you have advantage. Just
pay attention to the 4’s and the 6’s (as they leave the deck) if you
want to work a little card counting. The banker bet becomes slightly
more attractive if four’s leave the deck. But the player bet becomes a
little more attractive if sixes leave the deck.
Important:
The advantage of card counting is eliminated by shuffling the
deck.
All online casinos shuffle the deck after every play.
